    Jody Swanson – President & Secretary/Treasurer

    Jody Swanson uses the experience and knowledge gained through a 17-year industry work history that includes employment by a medium-sized general contractor as well as several other heavy equipment earthwork contractors to guide her multifaceted role at IC.

    As president, she directs management and supervises the operations and procedures of Ironwood Contracting. She also oversees bonding, insurance and banking activities, and reviews and signs contracts. Her duty as Secretary/Treasurer includes accountability for all financial functions allowing her to maintain the financial overview of IC necessary to provide daily and long-term financial decision making.

    Randy Swanson – General Manager & Project Manager

    Randy Swanson has spent his career inside of the earthwork industry. During the ten years that he was in the laborers union, he worked his way from being a general laborer to managing survey for the mass grading crews. Managing these projects gave him first-hand insight into the common issues that arise throughout the life of a project. An opportunity to become a project manager/estimator gave him the chance to learn the financial and estimating sides of the work. Maintaining competitiveness while ensuring quality was the standard he succeeded in attaining during his seven years in the position.

    The past eight years of his experience were as acting general manager of Ironwood Contracting. The in-depth knowledge he has of this company is instrumental in managing Ironwood’s physical assets to create the best product possible for the client.

    Working closely with the President – Secretary/Treasurer, Randy’s position helps to ensure and maintain cohesiveness for IC. This effort includes overseeing field staff and project managers to help direct risk mitigation (financial or otherwise), working with the President – Secretary/Treasurer and financial/insurance institutions to ensure IC’s competitiveness in this area, and also working with IC’s project management/estimating staff and field to ensure that their duties are an attainable.
